Stock disks and pads are superb for daily driving, unless you're planning on tracking your car long term I wouldnt bother splashing out extra on aftermarket alternatives.

I will also need an upgrade soon and will be in the same situation as you.. I would happy stay stock but am considering TRD parts.

hi there i agree with what your saying but the car has already got grooved front discs so just want the rears to match!(not to sure which make as they were fitted before i bought the car!) and i really like the look of grooved discs!! sad i know but i think they do look much better!! and for the sake of the extra £50/80 over stock ones i think its worth it!!

Whifbitz sell some 3G ultimate GR20 groove@£240 but does anyone know if there any good? also brembo discs come in at the same sort of price but would like to know from people that have fitted them if there any good or if there are better ones for the same sort of money??

I have a similar dilemma. I've got the 6 pot KAD front calipers with grooved 356mm 10 groove front disks but on the rear I have the (more than adequate) UK spec calipers and plain Toyota disks.

Now, I could change the rear disks to grooved ones so that it better matches the appearance of the fronts - and I'm tempted to do that - but on the other hand I'd feel like a tart because taking off the excellent Toyota OEM disks and putting on some flashy aftermarket tat is probably a downgrade in reality.

By the way, I don't think Brembo make disks for the stock Supra, do they? Ain't they just the 3G ones that folks claim as Brembo?

If you like the flashy look, I know the DBA Gold disks are popular.

I opted for DBA as they seemed to have and be more willing to issue information.

I also believe the DBA's are more resilient to warping than stock, Brembo & 3G.

I’m pretty heavy on the brakes and I’ve had no probs at all with these and you also don’t get any noise when braking, which you do with some other slotted discs (althoguh i cant comment against 3G).

Also their Kangaroo pattern is supposed to reduce the heat up better than the normal web/veins.

They've also got 3 paint lines on them to let you know if you've cooked your disc's.

All things that seems to say they've put a bit more effort in to offer a product thats a better than the norm' and be proud of.

+ i think thet dont look to bad. Not over the top. "more grooves are best!"

Brembo have discs listed for the stock calipers.

Fx00071 Brembo 4 Pot Front Discs

Rx00045 Brembo 2 Pot Rear Discs

Be very careful if buying Brembo discs of ebay or the like, as there are loads of knock offs about.
