D8MOA
i have a boosting problem which some of you might know about, my car missfires under 2nd turbo boost around 80mph, i looked into revving the car in park but it wouldnt hit redline, ive now found out if i take the revs up slowley it will go to redline, its when i give it a bootfull it hits 5500rpm and missfires. another thing i hear when driving the spool up noise of the 1st turbo is very loud even with the standerd airbox in place, i poss suspect the exhaust buypass or someting like that? do all standerd TT give a loud spool noise? i poss think thay may be linked together. i also get very poos fuel consumption and a smell of fuel, cant see any leaks though? any info will help as ime starting to get annoyed and getin skint at the same time
fat_controller
pretty sure your probably just shocked at the fuel consumption in conparison to your bm, they really do drink it and i'm sure you've got a heavy right foot.
supRo
Have you changed the spark plugs? Could possibly be coil pack or the connectors too. It may be overfuelling possibly a dodgy o2 sensor. Take it to Whifbitz or Phoenix
Mike M
Sounds really similar to what mine was doing but without the misfire. Does it do it the first time you want tubby 2 and then runs fine in the next gear or is it all the time.
Bob
have you changed the coil packs yet?

Checkout the FAQs as there's info on this sort of problem
Mike M
Pressure tank on mine checked out fine but the EGBV VSV was showing varying resistance's across the terminals. TTC is doing a good job at the mo. Of course I only found this after checking the whole seq system for leaks and seized valves.

colsoop
Are you getting a consistent boost levels ? I seem to remember my car gives a little bit more boost in 5th and 6th gear with the 2nd tubby online. Maybe the plugs are not liking that. Thorin
I seem to remember your plugs were "second hand" from another car. Have you tried new plugs with the correct gap?
