Not too badly damaged, but he did have to go to the hospital and have it superglued and bandaged up. Boy did we not let him forget about it for months, in fact we still remind him about the fact. He just heard a pop at the time and went to have a look and it had gone jet black. This was a while back now. The amount of damage done would look horrific even to a cursory examination.
