Back from the US - what have I missed?

Been in the gold ole US of A for 3 weeks, just logged back in here and have 47,381 unread posts... hmmm, so have I missed anything good? Or just a bunch of "bikes are better than cars" posts and "TTs are better than NAs" posts and "this forum isn't as good as it used to be" posts?

Had a great trip anyway, driving around California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado and Arizona. 5,335 miles of driving and the damn SUV didn't even have cruise control!

In 3 weeks and 5,000+ miles I saw 1 Ford GT, 5 Vipers, a handful of Ferraris, 2 AC Cobras, half a dozen e-type Jags (on some sort of rally), and not a single solitary mkiv Supra! Nor an FD RX7 either (only FC). Bucketloads of GTOs, 300ZXs and 350Zs.

Got back to Heathrow and on the drive home I saw a mkiv Supra and an FD Rex. Outside the UK the mkiv Supra really is a rare car.

Best thing I did on holiday was drive a C6 Corvette on a short racetrack and a H2 Hummer on an offroad course, all for the princely sum of $10 (incl tax). Gotta love Vegas!

Utah remains my favourite state - simply stunning scenery everywhere.

So what did I miss?

That's about all you missed matey ;)

Glad you had a good trip, great place to travel round for a couple of weeks - so many different cultures. Loved it when I did it a few years back.

I saw 3 on my last 4,950 mile jaunt around the SouthWest - that was my record. Reckon I've driven getting on for 30,000 miles in the US and have only ever seen a single figure of mkivs.

Found out after I got back there was a big Supra meet in Vegas the day I returned!

11,239 mkivs sold in the US apparently - I reckon a lot are weekend cars.

The Pacific NorthWest is cool - spent a few days in Seattle before.
