jamesmark
If you had to pick one film and only one what would be your favorite film of all time and why? Mines would be Forrest Gump, I love Tom Hanks as an actor and it pokes fun at society through the ages, and unlike some films it is far fecthed but still possible. Bobbeh
Gotta be an epic for me, something like Gladiator, with a bit of history to the story also... or something the complete opposide like Bladerunner and sci-fi. Seven is also good purely because how screwed up it is

I actually liked him. Better than Mel Gibson anyway I hear Ridley Scott is going to direct another Gladiator type movie, and he thought Russle Crowe was so good he wants him back in it... but they're trying to figure out what they can do, as he died in the last one! (or did he )

tbourner
Tough question. ATM probably I'd say Closer, but that'd change in a year or so. All time would probably be Pulp Fiction, but then that's getting boring I've seen it so many times!! Same can be said for the Matrix. I'll go with K-PAX I think. Classic and relatively unheard of. how_supra
Terminator for me. I love that film. Gladiator too if I hadn't watched it 20+ times, but now it bores me slightly.
Suprasteve
Gladiator too if I hadn't watched it 20+ times, but now it bores me slightly. same here. That opening scene is superb. I watched a brilliant film last night, Children of Men.

Do you know all the words from Gladiator? I've heard good things about Children of Men. Worth the expense of going to the cinema then?

chilli
hmmm too tricky, maybe Midnight Express (why, not sure, it's heavy, dark, emotional, involving, scary all at once) or One flew over the cuckoos nest (such a classic, why wouldn't you love this film lol) or The Shining (a classic, real atmosphere in this film) or The Deer Hunter (well what can I say, but I love Christopher Walken anyway, he is uber cool) Do love K-Pax and also Back to the future lol (but seen it too much) and loads I've forgoten about no doubt
MrHanky
Im going to have to go with The Empire Strikes back. I can quite happily watch the 3 original Star Wars movies over and over again without getting bored. This IMO is the best out of the 3 as it is a lot darker than the others and I love the start on planet Hoth. I do love the opening scene on Gladiator though, looks and sounds brilliant. SteamAhead
I would have to say:The Shawshank Redemption. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman give an outstanding performance. It's one film I can watch again and again. 11/10 for me Jim
