Guest yiros
Hello Guys & Gals, My name is Andrew and I own a JDM 1993 SZ Supra. As you can probably tell from the title, I am from Australia. I imported my Supra from Japan nearly 4 years ago now MODS TO DATE: Custom extractors Custom 2.5inch Mandrel exhaust system with JunBL mufflers and cannon Tein Super Street Coil Overs (Aussie Spec) Xtreme Heavy Duty Clutch Veilside Andrew Racing V 18x9s & 18x10 Momo Steering Wheel Momo aluminium gear knob Momo Grand Prix racing pedals Alpine single din CD player and single din DSP with Mini disc & 6 MP3 stacker Metallic charcoal dash with chrome bezels White dials Blue & Red LEDs FUTURE MODS (Next few weeks) OEM side skirts and rear pods, TRD replica wing (thanks to Nic) OEM active spoiler FUTURE MODS (NEXT YEAR OR TWO) NA-T or NA-TT conversion I joined these forums to find out more info regarding the installation of the active front spoiler. I spent an hour or so searching through and I found the wiring diagrams and other useful info. Together with the Electronic Parts Catalogue, I now know exactly what bits need to be swapped to make the system look like an OEM install. A friend of mine has a JDM 1993 GZ with a huge GT4088R single and running a huge FMIC so he has all the bits that I need so for a small cost and some labour trading, all the bits are mine. I haven’t decided if I want complete manual control of the active spoiler yet as I am worried I will forget to raise it when going of speed humps, spoon drains or steep driveways. Once I complete the installation, I will post some pics of the job so other can see how easy it is. I am an electrical/electronics engineer so the electronics side of things are easy me and every one on the local forums considers me as the wiring guru. I am wondering if it is possible to re program the ECU so that the active spoiler automatically comes down at say 15 km/h and retracts at say 10km/h that way when slowing for bumps etc you will not have a problem. Anyway enough of my babble and I am sure I will enjoy may stay here and try to learn as much as possible from you guys with lots of experience. Cheers Andrew

Terminator
Hi and welcome, Unfortunately the MKIV ECU's are not programable. I sure if you crack it, it would be very popular over here as lumps in the road are far too common.

Max Headroom
Welcome and a nice easy mod would be to get rid of the orange blobs and put some clear ones on. Would look very good on a white car

davo
Andy ... do you not like the settings the active spoiler has ? ... ie comes down when you are going over 80km/hr. You can put it down when the engine is off too.
