Hello Guys & Gals,

My name is Andrew and I own a JDM 1993 SZ Supra. As you can probably tell from the title, I am from Australia.

I imported my Supra from Japan nearly 4 years ago now

FUTURE MODS (Next few weeks)

FUTURE MODS (NEXT YEAR OR TWO)

NA-T or NA-TT conversion

I joined these forums to find out more info regarding the installation of the active front spoiler. I spent an hour or so searching through and I found the wiring diagrams and other useful info. Together with the Electronic Parts Catalogue, I now know exactly what bits need to be swapped to make the system look like an OEM install. A friend of mine has a JDM 1993 GZ with a huge GT4088R single and running a huge FMIC so he has all the bits that I need so for a small cost and some labour trading, all the bits are mine.

I haven’t decided if I want complete manual control of the active spoiler yet as I am worried I will forget to raise it when going of speed humps, spoon drains or steep driveways. Once I complete the installation, I will post some pics of the job so other can see how easy it is.

I am an electrical/electronics engineer so the electronics side of things are easy me and every one on the local forums considers me as the wiring guru. I am wondering if it is possible to re program the ECU so that the active spoiler automatically comes down at say 15 km/h and retracts at say 10km/h that way when slowing for bumps etc you will not have a problem.

Anyway enough of my babble and I am sure I will enjoy may stay here and try to learn as much as possible from you guys with lots of experience.

Cheers

Andrew

Hi Andrew, gorgeous looking car, I love the wheels and the spoilerless look really works. What part of australia are you from? :D

Adelaide, South Australia

Hi and welcome,

Unfortunately the MKIV ECU's are not programable. I sure if you crack it, it would be very popular over here as lumps in the road are far too common.

Ok cheers, I will take a look but I guess I may not get very far
