Mike
I've never heard of that one..?! eighties? OK, I've got another one.. Children's film, made in the seventies (shown on tele in the early eighties) about a group of toys who come to life and go on some kind of adventure to save (I think) one particular toy from going to some kind furnace/'knackers yard' for toys.... The title was (again, I think) the name of the lead toy (a toy soldier) and then 'rides again' or 'goes on an adventure'? I remember the toys trying to climb some huge staircase at one point...? I think it was real people dressed as the toys.. not animation... They must have shown it twice when we were kids (probs around Christmas) and it was *mega* sad.... I've been trying to find out what the hell this is for about ten years now.... anyone know any good resources for search kids films made in that era? I'd love to find this one for my sister and the nieces...

It was on when I was little at least 2 Christmas' in a row Christmas eve if I remember rightly. I can't believe you have now got me - having never heard of the Smoggies, I felt quite smug last night not being bothered in the slightest.
