SupraStar 3000
ok, UK number plates are cr@p. Flat and boring. But foreign plates look so much better, especially the Japanese and American plates. In my opinion this is because of the layout and embossed (3D) letters. Max-flower (Oct issue) has an article about foreign plates and I think one would look great on a Import Soop, but are these illegal on UK roads? Pixelfill
I would have thought so Ed. I know my mate had an import Mustang, and was able to drive around for about 6 months on it's original plates (kinda like a holiday) then he had to get it registered in the UK and had to get a UK reg number, and UK style plates - he was gutted. SupraStar 3000
yea, I think your right Mike. My mate has a US 1972 Javelin and that has a UK plate. Shame though
garethr
The typeface and size are now strictly regulated (so that all the speed and number plate recognition cameras can read them) http://www.dvla.gov.uk/vehicles/number_plates_registration_marks.aspx
