Rayman
Question as titled, is it ok to have my car clocking up in kms and my speedo in km/h? Its not a legal requirement to have everything in miles is it? Thanks
Class One
Your speedo MUST be in mph, but your odometer can be in either kms or mph, but MUST state what it is.

Pete
Probably just cars registered in the UK? Or maybe like when we go to france - you're meant to have the dual display.

TLicense
What about foreign cars over here thou ? A French colleague of mine brought his car (S2000) over when he came to work here. He had to convert it all to read MPH etc. Bloody expensive as they're digital dash, and not many places sell a MPH dash for the S2000 which will fit onto a LHD car. He wrote it off about 6 months later. Gutted.

Keith C
Incorrect. Speedo in kph is perfectly acceptable. I was going to say. A mate imported an Integrale from Holland, and was able to leave the speedo in kph. I believe it's the case that if a car is sold by a trader, then it needs to be converted to mph, but that private imports can remain as kph. Jurgen-Jm-Imports
chris the speedo can read in kph if older than 97 model but your chip is in post with your plates once i have them you will then have mph clocks . but cars newer than 96 must read in mph as part of esva test. Yeh best to have the chip just in case i need to change it into miles, you nver know. Is it difficult to do? So it just converts it to miles and then clocks up in miles with this chip? I remember you saying about this now. Its probably something id get round to doing if i had the dash out.
