Kittyclaws
Cheers m8.................4 wheels dont do it for me nowadays.........supras are nice but not quite my cup of tea....................[GRIN][/GRIN] Suprised to hear of a tank-slapping ZXR They have one of the most planted front-ends ever! Many moons ago I had an Exup 1000 - a good mate had a J2 ZXR750. His bike used to sail over bumpy b-roads while the Exup was flapping all over the place... Nowt a decent pair of tyres and a £200 steering damper wouldn't sort though. Mmmmmmmmmm,, EXUP,, so loved those when they come out,, still do. Bike I would love to own again would be a Standard 350LC.. love the sound of those
Tricky-Ricky
Just trawled through this lot, and found some quite funny, don't think there was any point to the rest!I have built and ridden bikes most of my life, until the last five years, and no self respecting biker i know of would spout the shite i have read on here, anyway bikes and cars are about as close in terms of driving/riding experience as chalk and the proverbial, and are both capable in different ways, and i thought most people realised that most reasonable sized sports bikes will leave most cars for dead on a strait road, until speed and drag coefficient become a problem for a bike, this is where cars have one advantage, the other being cornering, most decent cars will leave a bike through the bends due to better levels of grip etc, so both good at different things so whats the problem? apart from a couple of idiots who call themselves "bikers";) One thing i have always thought would make for better road safety as far as cars and bikes go, would be for all prospective car drivers having to learn to ride a bike for a period of time, before being allowed to drive! just my thoughts, but i have seen so many bikers crippled or lose their lives due to car drivers just not being awear of the treat they can pose to bikes. twowheeledtart
well firstly can i say hello? secondly i have honestly never laughed so much in one night...except for maybe the night where i drank too much tequila and ended up swimming in puddles....but where was i? oh yes, i'm a hardcore (!) biker, (i know jeez a girl!) but when it's snowing can i give one of you guys a ring to take me to get my shopping i love my bikes, i only have a bike licence but i do like and enjoy fast cars also, tbh my opinion of this thread is that it's started as a wind up and just gone slightly too far in parts? I admit that this was posted on the bike forum, i registered so that i could have my say, after reading this though i can see some of you are decent enough and some are just tossers (no offence meant, we also have them on our forum!) anyhoo just before i go, anyone wanna race? i'll keep my bike as it is (dyno jetted stage one, full race system, geared down) but you must have only 50p worth of petrol in your vehicle, only one wheel attached, bonnet up at all times and lastly you must drive it by remote control i just realised i haven't actually made a point but then thats to be expected....a) i'm a girl and b) i'm a biker

TLicense
One thing about people on bikes that has started to piss me off about them, and I'm sure this is the minority, but unfortunately I apply it to the rest, is I used to religiously pull well over to let a bike get by me. Since owning the Supe, certainly at quicker speeds you can end up trying to overtake a bike. Do you know how many have moved over so I can get by? None. Not one. Give and take I say so now, if a bike is trying to get by me, feck em. They'll have to go the long way round, cause I'm not fecking my suspension by driving in drains to give them an easy ride. As I said, it's probably a minority, and they're probably the same ignorant barstewards that once you have moved over and ridden over a few drain covers won't even aknowledge that you've helped them out by a little nod/thumbs up/flick of a heal. Anyone else had this?
Guest SlowRider
TLicence, Well done for stating the obvious - twats in all walks of life unfortunately. Just be thankfull that with all the shit going on in the world today, the only thing you have to whinge about is a scooter failing to salute you for moving 30cm one day. Jamie, don't post pics of BC from Cadwell - they'll cum in their Y-fronts at the thought of a girlie actually being able to handle a fast machine Not tellin ya :d :d Search and Ye shall find. colsoop
This is a car forum, naturally we are enthusiastic about our cars as you are about your bikes. I enjoy the asthetics of bikes and the all out power and performance that they offer, but they aren't for me. You know the spec of your bike and its performance so what if someone driving a car says he could beat you, you know it isn't possible let it go. I get baited by chavs in novas and the like, i don't rise to the bait, i smile to myself knowing that if i wanted to i could absolutley annihilate them. No doubt they will go back to their forum boasting about how they smoked a Supra Let them think it I have no doubt that a bike is faster than a car in almost all areas but you have to concede that there are some cars out there that would give a bike a run for its money, some reside on this forum. Its a shame you hadn't signed up earlier instead of the other gentleman who got quite agressive wanting to challenge anyone and everyone to a race, he was a bit of a tool. And didn't really add anything to the thread apart from a bit of entertainment value. When people like him sign up we do our best to annoy and bait them Now there is nothing wrong with a bit of banter and i welcome people such as yourself, but please remember it is a car forum and the majority of people here prefer cars. Although the lucky few enjoy the best of both worlds. Enjoy your weekend.
Guest 800BHP
when ever i want to overtake a car on my bike most drivers pull over and let me by and i always raise my hand on the way past to say thanks, as it's much appreciated, As for cars wanting to get passed me,.....well its never happened and not likely to, as i would probably nail it and leave them for dust;) except for motorways where i normaly sit in the middle lane coz high speed is boring on the motorway and you've a constant battle with the wind. there are a few rude people out there on the road, some bikers and some drivers, lorry and bus drivers are the worst but without them we would get bored and have nothing to moan about. i agree with the earlier coment about all drivers having to ride a bike before getting a drivers license, coz to be honest riding a bike has made me a better and safer driver, makes you more aware of things around you and reaction times are quicker bye for now
GeordieSteve
Nothing worse than some prick in a car pulling infront of you when your nipping through busy traffic grrrr. Ewen
Bike Night...Tuesday nights down at Poole Quay. Some fantastic machines. Some real nice people, and some right eejits. Some factions split between sports bikes / cruisers / trikes. Some factions split between Harleys and Rice Rockets. Just like the 'cage' driving fraternity really, but two less wheels. I'm an ex-motorcyclist, but still love the machinery / design / technology associated with bikes. I prefer to use cars on a daily basis, but lust after just one more bike. The wife would prefer that I dont get one.
