They didn't try hard enough.

Edit: Actually that's probably in bad taste, glad you're ok Micheal and not too shaken up.

LOL, is there such a thing as bad taste when it's aimed at me?

I wasn't shaken at all, it's expected and happens almost daily - I just don't like it when my good lady is in the car, after the TNT lorry incident she doesn't even like overtaking them.

Get some Road Tax you tight yorkshire git! (Yes I know it's an old pic really)

That reminds me, I renewed mine about 4 months ago and the new one is still sat in my glove box as I can't be arsed with all the fiddly little hex bolts on my tax disc holder.

Did SL flounce off in the end then?

Can we have examples of "close to the wind" so that we know where your limits are?

I like it when threads of this nature stay alive so if know what gets them locked we can avoid it happening....

Easy - excessive swearing, SL got a little close a couple times!! Anyway im not into closing threads we will just edit the offending posts. Unless it turns into all out war where there is 20 of you argueing as i wont be able to keep up :D

On that is it actually an offence not to display or an offence not to have road tax? O r both. When i was a young lad our neighbour made kit cars and someone grassed him up for not having tax but it was in one of those little holders you get for bike tax attached to the inner door and they just left it at that. This was some 14 years ago, anything changed?

Both.

In fact it's even an offense to not display it in the right place. If your tax disc isn't on the passenger side corner of the windscreen you aren't displaying properly.

Drove to Birmigham and then to Northants today, torrential rain mosto of the way back. Standing water in all lanes (and i dont mean a little puddle, more like 300 yard stretches) it was fairly severe.

Myself and a number of other cars slowed to 50 mph, popped full lights on, and crawled along, since spray, and aquaplaning were making driving dangerous.

MASSIVE lorry goes past at about 70 (what happened to a 56mph limit?!)

Oh, Jake, please remove that pic, it makes me think you are her, or she is you!!!

This medical is looking for the weakhearts and the High blood pressure drivers that are more likely to have a heart attack on the road its every 5 years for drivers over the age of 45 so we will all see a decline in the " fat over weight " lorry drivers in the future, if they fail the medical their HGV licence is put on hold till they pass it

Cheers

Ian
