supradibbs
you need to do some research mate not the best way off going about things plus as i have found stripping a car is fine but be prepared too have your money tied up in it for a while as parts dont shift overnight

Kranz
I didn't know that, thats quite interesting to know:eyebrows: Now don't go injuring yourself now just to get off import duty Mig, that's a bizzare rule... any more perks you know of? Does it apply to import parts for the car too?

Does it apply to import parts for the car too? Vat & duty relief on importing a car or even buying them new as long as it is registered for disabled use for said person or comes with adaptions for said person ( addaptions can be very lax, like the parts in the boot lol). I'm sure importing parts could be done as well if it can be proved to be for said car. Would need to confrim that as TBH I have never done it on importing parts alone. All I have ever done is a few personal cars for myself and I only found out about parts for them when getting some tyres at Elite a couples year back and the nice chap informed me of the VAT relief which made a nice cheap day for me. I'm sure if they find you doing 3 cars week and containers full of parts eyebrows would start beeing raised . I've just kept it at personal needs as I dont what to loose that benefit. But there are a whole raft of "Perks " if you can call them that for us wheelers.
JohnK
Shipping will be a killer, especially if it doesnt drive due to suspension damage. Also be aware that the stated condition isnt always the case and the shipping people treat crash damaged cars very badly.
