carl0s
I did a deal with a friend for this one. She had changed to an Apple Mac, and I needed something to build an Asterisk phone-system out of. The deal was I would take her hard disk, put it into an external USB2/Firewire enclosure so she could access all her music on the Mac, and I could have what was left of the PC. As a result, the machine had a brand new Western Digital 120gb Hard Disk not very long ago. I built the machine with Trixbox, and had a play. I have since decided to go for something a bit smaller for my Asterisk device: http://www2.css-networks.com/computer/1.JPG So, this machine is for sale. It was used for a period of two weeks, two weeks of very late nights. Since then it hasn't been switched on until five minutes ago. The graphics card is very basic, since I nicked the GeForce card for something else.. Specification is: AMD Athlon XP 3000+ CPU 512mb DDR Memory 120gb Western Digital IDE HDD ATI Radeon 7000 Graphics Card Onboard Audio USB2 DVDRW DVDROM Floppy Fast Ethernet Legitimate, licensed Windows XP Home edition - sticker on front There is only one problem that I am aware of, and that is that the front-panel USB socket is broken. This is a feature of the case and it has had a cable yanked out of it or something. No biggy really. The flap/door which would have covered up this USB port also seems to be missing. The previous owner was a heavy smoker (DVDRW is a bit yellow). £165, PayPal preferred, no extra charges. Delivery is a stumbling block at the moment, since I don't have the box that the case came in. Somebody within the North West would be ideal Any takers? http://www2.css-networks.com/computer/2.JPG http://www2.css-networks.com/computer/3.JPG http://www2.css-networks.com/computer/4.JPG http://www2.css-networks.com/computer/5.JPG
carl0s
The quad-RJ45 thing in the bottom isn't included. That's the Digium card advertised separately.

carl0s
Bugger, I thought it was the little box of tricks that was for sale. No, but you'd be surprised how cheap they are. Although PC-Engines say they will not sell directly to UK end users, you just say you are a system integrator/builder, or just go ahead and order anyway and he delivers. Mine is a WRAP 1E1, 128mb, Dual ethernet, Dual MiniPCI, 266MHz AMD Geode. Order from the "any PC Engines - EUR prices all products - for EU countries, business customers ONLY !" link, at the bottom of the Europe list. (http://www.pcengines.ch/order.php) He's showing no stock at the moment, but it didn't take long for new stock to arrive. I was told there was a faster more powerful version in the works.. carl0s
I'll reduce the price to £150 for a quick sale, but remember that PayPal will be taking something like £10 of that, and fuel costs a huge amount of money, so I don't want to be having to drive upwards of 20 miles to meet someone, as that's gonna cost another £20.. OK mate, let me see what I can do with regard to a suitable shipping box, and I'll come back to you. Delivery cost will be ~£14.95 + vat, or just call it £15 and I'll let the company claim the vat back, since this is what Business Post charge me, and I seem to remember having problems with large/heavy items at the post office.. how does that sound?
