wkdtime
Has any gone this yet? Im thinking of ordering this at just an extra £10 a month. Just curious at what the performance is like compared to Telewest/NTL 4mb which I currently have.

Bobbeh
Just curious at what the performance is like compared to Telewest/NTL 4mb which I currently have. Would be interesting, not much touches cables latency and speed, however bandwidth can be whacked up to high levels despite having crap latency. wkdtime
I bet you order it and then they say that your line isn't up to up to it. Actually, they said my line is pretty good as I live 65m from the local exchange. Just wondered if people get the actual connection speeed it says on the tin. Gamer
I tried to sign up and was told it was not ready for my area yet (which is bull crap as I already have 8mb speeds) and I was offered their 'other' service that is 'competitively priced' (something like £20 per month) and only up to 2mb.... I know of no one actually able to use their 16mb service as of yet.
JohnA
I've actually got the boxes sitting in my living room for weeks. The line has been activated too. Just too lazy to setup the booger
aido
I'm with UKOnline, which is the company Sky bought (well Easynet) and have their 22Meg service, which is basically what the Sky offering is. When it works it's fantastic, I connect at around 14Mbit and I'm around 200 metres from the exchange, it just seems to have a lot of DNS latency issues and the router they supplied, the Netgear DG834GT doesn't do SRA properly so you get loads of line drops and reconnections sometimes..... If you do order it and get problems like that then the Billion routers are supposed to be the best for using with their hardware, I've just never gotten around to swapping over! Pig
Im very tempted by this, but the question is, does is will it work if im right out in country?
MrRalphMan
Not at the full speed, but then any provider is going to have issues if you're a long way from the exchange.
