LeeT
You'll have to completely strip your dashboard out. I think Toyota charge over a grand for labour to do this as its an absolute c*nt of a job

steve spedd
oh good! in that case can i just check its the matrix that’s gone... symptoms: coolant fluid under the passenger seat, strange smell coming from the fans. and last night i went turned up the heater only to find the car full of smoke after a few seconds... Bob
Christ on a bike, it really does sound a horrible job! If I stripped my dash off for that, it'd be rude not to have it retrimmed at the same time
Sheefa
I pray to god almighty that mine doesn't go soon as knowing my luck it might and I would end up purchasing a new angle grinder to fu*k up my car in every which way possible.

JohnK
Thats my pic of the car I stripped, you dont have to strip quite that much out, but almost. The matrix is in the white box above the passenger footwell in that pic. I have one in mint condition for sale.
Gordon F
With respect to the guys selling matrix(s), if I had to strip my car back that far to fit a part, it wouldn't be a second hand one. I would make sure that all hoses and hose clips were new as well. It's not a job that you would want to be doing twice !

Guest gzaerojon
Do you use it in the winter? if so, by pass it and wear a nice big coat that's what i'd do, looks like a b@stard job Edit: also, if you are going to do this job, then you might as well fit a new one, would be very silly to go second hand imo
