Dave F
Anybody know what the halfords tool sets are like, I need to replace my existing set that I've had for about 10 years. They do a 150 piece for £150 but dont want to buy it to find its crap quality. Thanks in advance Dave
Supragal
We've got that, seems fine so far. I'd imagine that if you were a mechanic and using it 24/7 it might not last as long as snap on etc but it's got almost everything you could want. ChrisSZ
I have loads of Halfords tools - never had any problems with any of them and the quality is bloody good for DIY applications:) No doubt others will disagree:)

I'm only a weekend tinkerer (oo er misses) so sounds like this should be ok cheers Rosie
squiffy
is that the big set in the silver case? i got one when they were on offer at £100 all the main parts, (sockets, ratchets, spanners, grips etc) seem good and have taken a lot of abuse from me a few of the small bits like mini screw driver set etc are a bit shit. but the kit seems great value for money

silvershark44
Best thing about places like Halfords/ Pc world/ Comet etc, if anything breaks you can just take it back and they will always replace it or give you a refund. Ive been meaning to get one of those "Snap on" look-a-like tool chests they have, 80% of the quality but about 30% of the price
