michael
I've seen the clever little men who can repair chips on windscreens but has anyone ever heard of a company that can polish out scratches? My screen is in fine condition as far as chips go but it has a fair bit of scratching caused by retarded previous owners using the wipers on dirty glass - I was wondering if I could get these buffed out without the need to replace the whole screen. I've found kits to do the job but ideally I'd like to get a pro in to ensure I don't end up with some kind of distorted mess http://www.glasstechnics.co.uk/scratchequipment.html Thoughts? GLENN STONEHAM
Just "encourage a large stone to hit it at speed and get a perfect new one fitted under your insurance. Probably cost you just £50.
michael
I don't really want the hassle of a new screen, I like the original with it's security etching and leak free seal.

michael
I've tried the Autoglym, it shifts the grime and helps the Rain-X stay on for longer but doesn't seem to do much with scratches - I don't want to use anything abrasive because it's bound to make things worse when the sun hits. michael
Just phoned Autoglass, they don't offer any repair services for scratches.
colsoop
Micheal you can get a glass polishing kit, it won't remove deep scratches but it sounds ideal for your application, you need an electric drill with a chuck to use it though: CLICK ME
michael
I just have a feeling I'd end up with a scary "hall of mirrors" type distortion effect of I was let loose
