jamesmark
Hi guys I have put my Stock 17's on ebay and I got a message from a buyer in Malta on behalf ao a friend (yeah right), just thought I would ask your opinion, this is what he said. Hi, Firstly Im doing this for a friend so I thought it would be better for you to know. I live in malta and we are looking for a set of original alloys of a toyota supra. The thing is if you try to post those to malta it will cost about 4to500 quid so If we do happen to bid(since I gotta get confirmation)Will you be patient and keep them for us until a courier sends a collector to collect them, at a certain date and time which will be suitable for you both! I would really appreciate an answer Kind Regards Shaun To which I may reply Hi there, obviously with overseas buyers I have a few conditions to prevent possible scamming, I have no problems with what you asked at all, as long as payment is recieved Via paypal ONLY within 24 hours of buying them, no other payment method other than paypal will be accepted, so please have a working paypal account. The courier must collect with 10 days of auction end. Courier must have insured delivery so that if they go missing you go to the courier company to make a claim and not myself and if courier can not prove that you have taken out insurance I will refuse pick up. Courier Has to be arranged at your end also. If this is acceptable then yes you can bid or buy it now on the wheels. What you think

supra650
Personally i wouldnt trust paypal either, only i sold an item to someone and it said `cleared funds` so i sent item a few days l8r they then took the money back out and put refunded as the buyer did not have enough money in their bank account, luckily the guy was ok so he sent me a cheque. There have been quite a few stories of paypal givin refunds to buyers who claim to have a dispute with the item they have purchased, without even mailing the seller first to get their side of things. If it was me id get them to do a bank transfer from their account direct to yours and then check its cleared before you send item out.

Rayman
Nooooooooooooooo, dont use paypal, most likely they will use a stolen credit card or have someones cc details and use them unlawfully. Basically once the real owner of the cc realises something has been charged to his card, the real owner will cancel the charge and it will be you who pays as paypal will do a chargeback putting your account into minus figures. It happened to me with some bastid yank! One of my downfalls was sending to an unverified address! Tossers, paypal and the scammers! Paypal dont give a monkeys!
