Bobbeh
Better get down the knackers yard then
jamesmark
You will not get a TT for that money, and if you do it will more likely have bad history, you will get a goo N/A for that money, Become a member and have a look at the cars for sale section. To get a TT your budget will need to be around £6.5k to get a basic one.

CJ
I can usually find you a nice car for 4.5 (and normally slightly under) but that would not be a TT.
squiffy
my tt went for that price, all great so far... keep an eye out for cj's posts;) dont buy a n/a you will just get bored and buy a tt later, believe me i tried it!

SENSASIAN
i want a TT but they are so pricey. i know its well worth it but i cant find aby good bargains
Bobbeh
Be careful too, usually cars that seem like bargains dont turn out to be that.. there is a reason why someone sells their car at 5k and another at 10+ etc.

SENSASIAN
i guess wour right. what are your views on buying a n/a and converting it into a turbo???
squiffy
but the time you have spent the cash you could have bought a tt mate
Bobbeh
A few have done that on here and I think they're quite happy with the results. But for the money you spend doing that you could get a half decent TT. IMHO, if you cant afford a TT yet, just save a little longer and then you can get what you want and with your bigger budget you'll have a lot more choice when looking for a decent example. SENSASIAN
Thing is i have been offered a black supra n/a thats done 100,000 miles for £3000, seller cant drive as he is paralysed or something. what ya think??
squiffy
at the end of the day mate i think it depends on your aiming for with the car. an n/a isnt very tuneable, exhaust and filter then it gets lots of money for little power gains, but if you want a nice looking good handling car but not worried about going for big power you cant go far wrong:)

Providing the car is in good condition etc thats not a bad price at all. Obviously if you want to get more power out of it the better the condition the engine and supporting components the less expensive (in theory) it should be. squiffy
i wish people would stop putting manuals up so cheap, i want to sell mine! looks a bit tatty inside and could do with a good clean! but worth a look for that price i reckon:)
milocoon
For £3000 it appears to be a bargain, buy it subject to a new MOT test at your choice of garage. Cars in general can be expensive to fix you do tend to get what you pay for, the ebay ad might be a trader BTW !
SENSASIAN
isnt the mileage to be worried about???
Bobbeh
If its been well serviced no.. for a daily driver it should go on for ages... but if you plan on big power mods or are worried about resale in a few months it'll probably be better you look for one with less mileage. CJ
For 3k it is cheap car but take someone with you if you go to look at it. Also, definitely get it HPI'd as there are a lot of crash damage / repairs out there. That in itself is not bad providing you know who did the repair work but they can sometimes be cobbled together and sold on.
