wkdtime
Why should he? Do you research other religions? Erm nope, i dont, but before i give my opinon on a 'touchy' topic i would carry out the relevant reserach...common sense really isnt it? Besides i wasnt asking or talking to you. If you care to even watch the news you'd see what our 'muslims' views are and not the ones that are expressed by extreemists, im not asking for you or anyone to enduldge in major research and write me an essay on islam. wkdtime
Quote A Muslim listener further wrote: "I am incensed with the Today programme giving publicity Abu Izzadeen. How dare he presume a position of speaking on behalf of Muslims! I am a Muslim, and like thousands of my co-religionists find him and his views utterly repugnant." Totally agree Im glad theres still people like you.
ChrisSZ
The problem is (as I see it) that most people forget the word "extremist" and brand ALL Muslims (or other religeous denominations) as being the same (stereotyping) - this is then exacerbated by the normal, moderate majority who just go about their daily lives without impacting on the rest of society. Thus the general population only sees/hears the nutters and assumes that all of that particular group share similar views/act the same etc. It's quite wrong to brand the many as bad based on the words/actions of a few! Charlotte
No i dont, but before i base my opinon on a topic then i would thank you very much, Besides i wasnt asking or talking to you. If you care to even watch the news you'd see what our 'muslims' views are. Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know I couldn't reply to a thread because you weren't talking to me. I thought you said the media is full of propaganda so how can I believe that the news is a true Muslim view? At least I know muslims that aren't like you, otherwise I'd be struggling at this point. LOL - I think that, over the years I've grown very intolernt to intolerance and can't stand discrimination of any sort (no - I'm not a bleeding heart liberal or some kind of tree hugger:) ) I believe that all people should be judged on their own merits:d

Charlotte
Likewise, its a good job not all my non muslim mates are like you. You're so offensive it's not even funny. I was merely questioning why you think every person should research a religion that isn't even theirs, half of this country can't even read or write properly. You saying that you research every subject of a 'touchy' nature that you comment on is absolute bull. Stop trying to fight a fight that isn't there. Oh and the fact that I haven't even mentioned my views on ANY religion at all is very telling to your state of mind.

You offended me too, i did not ask for someone to research on Islam, i merely asked to generally research on the topic at hand, and it would have been clear that there is an out cry from many british muslims that the guys views should not have been aired. Ian R
No Ian i dont research other religion as much as i'd like too, i did research a bit of Christianity and Jewdism back at school. Cool . I have looked at the Muslim faith and the fact is that if Muslims (real Muslims) practiced the faith correctly then there wouldn't be a problem in the first place.
