Radio 4 'Today' - interview with Abu Izzadeen

Listened to this live this morning and, IMO, this guy came across as a complete dick!! (nothing to do with him being a Muslim, just a dick)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/today/listenagain/

was on at 08:10

Sounded a bit like a Monty Python type sketch with some ramblings of a total nutter refusing to answer the questions and talking total bollocks about Sharia law and implementing it the Muslim way. He didn't like being told to go to Saudi Arabia which has a way of life more to the liking of this guy.

I think if Allah/God etc was a 'good' deity then people like this wouldn't have been born. Proves that religion is a load of rubbish.

I watched a programme that was on quite late one night about the culture of the suicide bombers. There was an interview with one of the brothers who blew himself up in Tel-Aviv and he basically said that they wouldn't stop until everyone accepted the muslim religion and lived by it..

It does amaze me what goes through the heads of the extremists.

Religion the biggest marketing ploy the world has ever seen. What people forget is what religion is really about. It’s not about worshiping a God and praying for a better life that’s just an easy way out. It’s more to do with making yourself and others happy, respecting all people and there way of life. Helping people who need help and trying to make the world a better place for us all to live in. I feel that some people sore a way to make a lot of money and most of all make themselves very powerful so they could control the masses.

These extremist in power now that people will follow the word of god and use it to manipulate people my saying it is gods will. BOLLOCKS if god is real then he is the Devil himself as well.

God is a product witch most of us buy into.

Just the way I see it you have your thoughts I have mine.

Crikey, I just listened to this chap on the BBC site - I wonder how many others like him are out there trying to change the country so that's it's ruled by Sharia law rather than good old democracy?

I agree with the interviewer I'm afraid, either go somewhere else that meets with your requirements or accept the system in the country you are in. Please feel free to practice your own beliefs without imposing them on others. If you want to change the world do so peacefully and with democracy, this isn't the religious dark ages and your mythical book-based religion doesn't wash it with me I'm afraid.

Apparently the Muslim Community has "had enough" and there is going to be a "very strong reaction" where they "explode".

Fun times ahead.

I particularly like his remarks about Opening your EYES and smell the coffee!!

And after all his ranting about sharia law and wanting to impose it on the UK, when pressed about some things he has said, he replied 'It's a free country, innit?'!!!!

Not for long if he had his way.

I was boiling over when I listened to this on the bus going into work this morning!

I'm not sure if it's a good or bad idea to have people like that on national radio.

On the down side it obviously spreads their completely misguided views on Islam, democracy and life in general, but on the up side the young impressionable Muslims are going to see him making a complete a***e of himself and (hopefully) see just how demented his ramblings are.

A Muslim listener further wrote: "I am incensed with the Today programme giving publicity Abu Izzadeen. How dare he presume a position of speaking on behalf of Muslims! I am a Muslim, and like thousands of my co-religionists find him and his views utterly repugnant."

Totally agree :Pling:
