Ewen
Taking him and his worldly possessions up to Coventry on Saturday. Thats both of them fledged and orf. There will be a great big void in our lives now...no DVDs, no lap-top, no wires and cables looking like an explosion in a spagghetti factory around the AV stand. No help around the house and garden...no change there then:) Not sure how to take this, wisecrackin aint cutting it, its going to be strange not having the wee yin around. Ewen
Hes really looking forward to it. Hes promised to come down every now and again to let me beat him at pool, and he swears he may eat something every now and again. My job is done, its up to the education machine now. Sex all over the house sounds good, and I've always wanted to shag someone whilst watching Question Time. A whole new world awaits:d

My uncle (who works for GM) says they get a lot of people from there.Oh gawd - he's gonna be a Vauxhall designer Ewen... Seriously, good luck to the lad. I remember when my daughter went (8 years ago now). My son said "You'll never see me being a 'student'. They're the pits!" He's changed his mind, wants to be a teacher and is now looking at going in as a "mature student" now - and he's only 22!!!
Bobbeh
Er, not quite.. GM have design studios all over the world, one of which is in Coventry, that design for Saab, Cadillac, Holden, Vauxhall, Hummer, GMC, Pontiac, Corvette, Buick and so on. Realistically, Id be happy if he gets a job even remotely connected to the automotive industry. The competition is enormous...the high flying successes are rare. Designing Lego or Action Man toys quite often becomes the 'revised employment prospects' for top grade degree earners that the car design industry passes over. Hes keen, and hes got my full confidence, but hes just started a four year lottery.
sdavies
Is he going to Cov and not Warwick? I had a fun time at Cov uni ;-) doing drugs... oh no wait... Pharmaceutical Chemistry... that was the degree heh. I used all my biology and chemistry knowledge to its maximum potential... and became a software engineer rofl A lot of very good engineers have bloomed from Cov. They always used ot boast about the various achievements the engineering guys there made, or subsequently went on to make.
