anyone who wants a really good retention of Usenet binaries should check out Giganews, got an email this morning from them. sure enough, amazing now (from 70 to 90 days), and text posts are not going to be wiped. really happy with their service. probably will kill my newsfeeds.com account now, and just stick to the one provider.

I might go back to GigaNews. I switched to EasyNews a couple of months ago but their NNTP retention is terrible, like less than a fortnight! To be fair, their retention is pretty good via HTTP but I don't like their web interface at all.

I just wish Giganews would roll-over unused credit from month to month.

hi Jake,

maybe the 'roll-over' is something you can address to them, i know they like feedback.

i am on the unlimited option, and find it ideal for the costs.

if you subscribe to newzbin, 2UK for 8 weeks you can get the nzb files for up to 70 days, and they automatically open your usenet client. i have now switched to newsleecher, once again.
