Agreed Clarkey mate. No need to test if people are strapped for cash though! At the end of the day £300-£400 should get you a decent aftermarket one whether SM of FM.

 

I dread to think how much a new OEM Toyota one would cost! The Rad alone is about £300 or more so you could probably double up quite easily for the SMIC.

I can't see anywhere in this thread about testing any certain product by any person.

 

This thread was started with a poll to find out the condition of the oem smic on owners cars, and has turned into a slanging match about the virtues of a certain product marketed (but not on this thread).

 

However, to an objective onlooker, this thread could appear to be an attempt to be product trashing.

 

I'm always dubious about traders posting in tech re a poll about a piece of equipment when its known full well that they supply a product that offers a cheap replacement to it.

 

I'm also not happy about this section being used to argue the virtues over a certain product (again).

 

Paul, next time use your own section for a poll of this nature, for the reasons I have stated above.
