michael
Apexi filters are designed to be replaced when necessary, they don't recommend cleaning agents / high pressure air etc if memory serves me right.
CJ
Well there are three differing answers already!
michael
The Power Intake is basically maintenance free. Filter replacement, when necessary, can be done at a very low cost No mention of cleaning anywhere on the Apexi site but I seem to recall my old instructions warning against it. lui
Ok so if cleaning is not required how long does one last & how often should it be changed with a new one ????????

A slight difference between washing some metal mesh and putting water and detergent all over a material that isn't designed to be washed. You say you are sure you can clean it.... how sure? As far as I know Apexi make *dry* filters contructed using fibres packed under layers of 'fabric' type material - does this cope with being cleaned? Does it cling to the detergent and reduce efficiency? Don't just presume that all filters are like K&N because they look similar
