Ewen
Eagerly anticipated, ultimately deliciously satisfying. Almost (almost) as good a way of unwinding as logging on here. A triumph of predictability over substance. Jane still cant guess who did it though.

Charlotte
I worry. I mean, little things bother me. I'm a worrier. I mean, little insignificant details - I lose my appetite. I can't eat. My wife, she says to me, "you know, you can really be pain."

Charlotte
It's got to be Perry Mason for the theme tune alone.
Ewen
ewen,. no joke, are you realy a columbo fan ? ive loved columbo all my life.. ( well not in love with him like - but the show ) I'm not ashamed to admit I love Columbo. Always have. Never quite felt the same about Ironside / Perry Mason / Burkes Law (except the episode that had the exploding tennis balls in it) / Murder She Wrote et al. Wide Screen Relaxation I call it. Midsommer Murders comes close, but for me Columbo is that rarest of TV fodder...as enjoyable now as it was thirty odd years ago
Darren-K
best columbo episode,. i recon... anyone see the epsiode..... where the guy trained his dobermans to attack when the phone rang ?
Ewen
Quincy ? Na, hes a muppet. And as for old Dick Van Dyke in Prescription Murder, how many of his patients die whilst hes gallavanting around twitching that false nob he calls a nose. Monks hilarious, but ultimately just another pretender to the Columbo Crown.

Ewen
McMillan and Wife was excellent too. Im sure they had killer dobermans in an episode too ? Columbos first name is the subject of legend. Philip has been bandied around but aparently false. As to Mrs Columbo, Kate Columbo has been associated with Lt. Columbo, but web sites seem to suggest this was only a spin-off series, not really connected. But I'd love to know if you two have the real deal:)
