8-pot brake kit on ebay

I bought mine from MVP, a LOT cheaper than buying them in the UK.

Chris knows his stuff when it comes to brakes and suspension.

Personally I'd bin the fronts and get a full Brembo setup, if you drive the car that hard then it's money very well spent. Buying the D2 rears is throwing good money after bad IMO.

Thats what im thinking, but dont want to spend the money on the d2 rears if there still the same... i dont know what to do really:search:

Dan commented on how good my brakes were. Although I am running larger front discs then you (356mm) and I have 6 pots on the rear but they utilise the stock rear disc.

I should think if you get the D2 rears it would be a much better package then what you are running now.

Jamie, surely forking out for the D2 rears will a) probably sort the braking problems out and b) should the worst happen an they don't, you'll have a full D2 kit for sale and can happily sell it for near RRP less say £300-£400.

I would go for the rears and see how they play mate.

I keep thinking about your fade problem. It has to be pads. If i was able to drive with UK brakes, DBA discs, and endless ccx for very hard road use and even many laps of the ring, when I got the pads to smoke in entering the the carpark again, but didnt fade, I insist it must be lack of the right pad. Even the world best calipers and discs wont perform will without the right pad.

My next beast, due in the road in one months time will be using CCX or even CCR, you are welcome to drive 7 bells outta it to test the brakes, I am confident you wont be dissapointed.

How about a special mount for twin calipers like a SL63AMG brabus ? Just thinking cheap brakes, twin Uk spec calipers, with CCX on a high grade disc like the endless floating pin discs, or the Project Mu 2 piece?

Might need a master cylinder upgrade to handle it, especially if it was front and rear, OK ,loads more weight but loads more brakes.

BTW, I have ahah a load of stella before writing this!

That's a lot of weight and messing around...

How much are a pair of UK's, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy an AP 6-pot/Brembo F50 kit?

Hmmmm, Stella. Only seven hours until I'll be having a few pints myself :)

Kick

D2 racing (purple / pink) and K-sport (orange) are the same, i found via google a third one: Cyclone.

They have gold calipers for the 8 pot and yellow ones for the 6 pots.
