Stonkin
It basicly switches the car into manual mode so it will hold that gear. Best to do a search mate as theres loads of thread on the auto box with regards to manu mode/overdrive etc.

Ian W
quiet mate, quite. why not just leave it in D all the time mate instead of faffing about with the 1/2 when you're not in MANU?
2jzhead
i want to get the full speed out of it and not just use 2nd turbo i have been told if i put it in second, i am using 1st turbo then in drive it uses the second turbo or somthing like that
JustGav
i want to get the full speed out of it and not just use 2nd turbo i have been told if i put it in second, i am using 1st turbo then in drive it uses the second turbo or somthing like that Nope the engine will still use both tubbies... The black manu button, simply prevents it from changing gear. If you are in D and manual mode, it will start in a lower gear, but immediately change into D as soon as it can, and stay there. Put it into M mode, and then you use L-2-D as the gears..
Jake
The red button, simply prevents it from changing gear.
