arnout
Continuing building the car, after some time doing nothing and waiting for parts, money, time and above freezing temperatures Today we mounted the rollcage. It's not done yet but here are some photo impressions: http://www.supras.nl/phpBB2/attachments/imgp1281_119.jpg http://www.supras.nl/phpBB2/attachments/imgp1283_180.jpg http://www.supras.nl/phpBB2/attachments/imgp1286_180.jpg http://www.supras.nl/phpBB2/attachments/imgp1287_195.jpg http://www.supras.nl/phpBB2/attachments/imgp1290_183.jpg
letmeshowyou
Insane - but I love it!! How long before you expect to have this thing on the road?
arnout
Hope to be able to compete in this years ten of the best. I finally got some time to work on this car because I sold my mk3 (also with a 2jz). I turned to the dark side guys (bought a skyline, don't tell anyone!) JohnA
So you've decided to trade engine capacity for even *more* transmission losses? (only kidding, they are excellent beasts...)
arnout
I just want something different. I've driven sooo many supras, especially mark IV's. As I said to others: The butcher doesn't eat meat every day either! I sold my mk3 2jz single in favor of a nice R33 skyline. Gives me a lot more time to work on my mk2 project supra which has the 2jz with the TH-350. The skyline doesn't need any work at all, I bought it 'complete'
Branners
that should make a great spectacle at TOTB, 99% of the people probably wont even know what it is!! JB
arnout
that should make a great spectacle at TOTB, 99% of the people probably wont even know what it is!! JB Yeps, it's a Supra, but no one will recognize it I chose this platform because here in Holland you are not really allowed to change the number of cylinders in a car. And the Celica Supra is a 6 banger from factory (2.8 liter N/A). Continued welding in the rollcage. Also removed the spare wheel carrier. Here we will place the race fuel cell. http://www.supras.nl/phpBB2/attachments/imgp1310_373.jpg http://www.supras.nl/phpBB2/attachments/imgp1312_280.jpg http://www.supras.nl/phpBB2/attachments/imgp1304_532.jpg http://www.supras.nl/phpBB2/attachments/imgp1297_668.jpg

Thorin
Sorry to drag up an old thread but does anyone know if this got finished? I don't know but I'd be interested to know, I'd forgotten about this. Arnout's membership expired and the mods saw fit not to let him have a free membership so he stopped contributing to the forum. Big shame. There may be more in the forums on http://www.supras.nl/index.php but I no speak the lingo.
