jim_supra
My brother in-law eats a trifle by layers, which is annoying.. that goes against the whole ethos of trifle eating IMO.... ha ha. I do that too! I eat quite a bit of food in layers, like feasts, vanilla slices etc. I also eat the meat around a scotch egg before i eat the egg:d
how_supra
I also have been known to take the breadcrumbs of fish fingers and eat them seperately. now I admit that that is a little strange.
Mike
I only delayer chocolate bars... like Twix and DD's... which is a rarity these days....
how_supra
Is that not structurally impossible? surely the 'cake base' would be last to go? no you simply turn the trifle on its side.
how_supra
I also eat the meat around a scotch egg before i eat the egg:d I think we have exactly the same food habits, I also do that. If you had toad in the hole, would you eat the sausages on their own and then the batter?? what about shephards pie?? I always eat the meaty part first and save the mash to last. Mike
I think your more obsessed with eating things upside down than in layers....? do you scoop out all the mash to get to the meaty bit...? it's just plain wrong.... OK, now I fancy Shepherds pie with melted cheese on the top....
how_supra
LOL no, erm maybe. You simply fish the meat out from under the potatoey goodness with your fork, until you are left with a plate of mash potato.

Ark
I mix the foods up on a per-mouthful basis, that way I can have a bit of sausage by itself, a bit of sausage with gravy, or even some sausage with mash, and peas...oh the variety. I can also vary the mixture each mouthful that way, until I find the perfect mix.
chilli
i often see food just as a mechanism to eat more sauces - it's true even my other half has noticed it lol I rarely deconstruct food, but custard creams and jaffa cakes are popular choices

terribleturner
And i thougth Sabrina was the only freak in the village. If you mix and match what you have on the plate you get so many different flavours. But then i guess that way we'd never know Sabrinas favourites And the bread and butter thing is a european thing. terribleturner
do you eat the ketchup straight out of the bottle? I came in from a club many years ago and there was nothing to eat so i made some toast and spread Ketchup on one and HP sauce on the other. i think it was alright, i was very very drunk at the time and even stumbled launching the hp sauce one onto a wall were it stuck Most humourous

I've had ketchup on toast before also, it fills a hole. I get annoyed when people frown when I have ketchup in addition to beans - some people seem to think the sauce is the same - well I have news for you - IT IS NOT, SO GET OFF MY BACK ABOUT IT ALREADY! I've resorted to just eating cold beans from a tin before when massively hungry and in a rush - really it's not that bad
terribleturner
I can't remember who it was now but they told me about when they were at Uni and the wold use the kettle to cook their beans up. Sabrina likes cheese and beans in here Toasties. But then she is the same girl who will eat raw potato's and sausages
