RobSheffield Posted September 12, 2006 Share Posted September 12, 2006 For safeties sake i believe they have to be mounted to the rear seat fixing panel, they are not able to go straight down behind the seat in case the seat crushed with force of impact, however my Supra came with a Willans harness that went into the rear seatbelt anchor points which was cool! SimonB Posted September 12, 2006 Share Posted September 12, 2006 The only safe way to mount them is using a proper harness bar. The seat belt points are too low down and could result in a serious spinal injury in a crash as your spine will compress. If you don't mount them and use them correctly harnesses can be more dangerous than the normal belts. You must keep the lap strap very tight to stop the shoulder straps pulling it up off your waist, and preferably use an anti-sub strap (crotch strap) which is designed to stop it pulling up. SimonB Posted September 13, 2006 Share Posted September 13, 2006 Sparco do them. When I bought mine nobody in this country stocked them so I bought it from Dusty (MVP) in the States.
