dandan
Clearly I don't want to fry my car. If you have been repeatably hitting 16:1 under boost you may be a little late.
Ian C
If it's a couple of seconds at a time, and at low boost and low to mid revs, it might not be too bad. The real killer is high revs high boost. -Ian
Sheefa
Should say that I haven't been boosting above 4,000rpm because of the intercooler damage. I haven't let the 2nd turbo kick in since I had the minor crash. So, not sure if it would normally hit the good 11's, 12's under boost above 4k, but it rarely, if ever, does below 4k when I put my foot down. So just to clarify, at normal sub 4k rpm driving im averaging 12-14 when cruising. Put my foot down but still keeping below 4,000rpm and I'm averaging about 14-15. Hope this helps
Clarkey
I remember having a chat with Ian on the phone about the 4k transition point - and the stock ECU doesn't richen the mixture up (out of closed loop) until after 4k anyway. Sheefa
So what you thinking Clarkey, I could be safe as long as it's not running stupidly lean (14's and 15's) after 4,ooorpm? Here's hoping. Will get it checked out as I'm not entirely sure if it is dropping to 11's etc after going ABOVE 4krpm as haven't tried it for 2 weeks due to intercooler. Cheers for the response mate.
