suprattgaz
PROBLEM = new house; won't go in driveway into it's newly purchased garage!! Needs to be higher, but how? Suspension was fitted before I got the car and have no receipts. The shocks have blistein printed on them and are green. The springs are VERY hard and the car is exceptionally low (not cut b4 anyone asks!). The shocks also have TRD logo's on them (stickers). I bought the house as I wasn't too bothered as I don't like the feel of the suspension anyway. Guess I can still use shocks but want to know what springs to put on there. Without knowing what is on there I don't know how much higher I need to go (or lower from standard). Anyone hazard a guess as to what springs might be on there? Or as to what i should put on there? Is j-spec '94 TT. Gary

Kranz
I'm sure I've seen some air lift kits on the market that fit inbetween the springs and can lift the car a couple of inches... enough to get up and down your drive. That way you can have your cake & eat it...
Guest anand
hi try using spacers it may help you upto 15mmto 25 mm,depending on the length left over on the strut bolts, for the front under the hood & rear trunk
Chris Wilson
Just put some stock springs and dampers on it.
Sheefa
How much are stock springs and dampeners Chris including fitment by yourself? I'm a little tired of my exceptionally low harsh ride on Bilstein and Eibachs. Cheers
Chris Wilson
Stock speings on your dampers wou;d be a good combination. I have some stock springs here, in excellent used condition.

Nic
Gary the TRD dampers are made by Bilstein and are a kind of greenish greyish colour. If these are yours, they have 3 position height adjustment for the spring (around -15mm, -25mm or -35mm drop, compared to stock). The height is adjusted by removing the circlip holding the spring seat and moving it onto one of the 3 grooves on the damper. To adjust the height, you will need to remove the wheel and compress the spring first. The TRD suspension is very good quality, it maybe that yours is set on the lowest height setting though. http://trdparts.jp/english/parts_sus-set.html
