paul_y3k
for those with a JIC surpa ... do you have the same foglight conversion as me ? One of the reverse lights is removed / replaced with a painted bulb and a switch down by the ignition to turn it on ? well mines not working any more , and I'm trying to trouble shoot it. the bulb is ok, so i'm guess it's wiring or the switch ... any one know if it has it's own little in line fuse to check ? toyotatom
Me and Zap have both got cars from JIC. My conversion is exactly the same as you describe. Its never faultered on me I must admit, but if it was to then I think the first thing I would check would be the 18p switch they fitted. I will send Zap the link to this and he might be able to offer some more advice.
zap
I would think there is some kind of inline fuse, possibly behind the switch in the dash, same as Tom never had any probs with mine , touch wood.

Thorin
Yup same as mine (from JIC also), stopped working once for me, turned out there was very little slack on the wire at the back of the switch and it had come off.
Ewen
Same with me....worked fine when I got it (Motormall did these didnt they ?) then first MOT came up and it failed due to 'no fog light'. The garage didnt ask me, they just screwed one under the rear bumper and told me theyd fixed it and whoever had done the SVA needed kicking !
