You'd still have neighbours and the security people wandering around, I'd rather have a castle with it's own walls, a moat, big gates and gargoyles.

Oh and it would have to be in the middle of nowhere, ideally next to the sea.

I like Michael's idea, but would have Crocodiles in the moat and Lions & Tigers wandering the grounds and, i would have a dungeon just like the one in Gothika and keep fit you ladies in there (for a limited period).

Does that have fences, Ewen? To easy for a theif to come up to the house undercover of the trees. You'd need some snarling, four-legged security for that place.

Where is it? Lulworth Cove?

Yup Lulworth. The seaward side has cliffs and what look like castle walls....the wooded side has laser guided sentry guns and pictures of Janes family pinned to the trees. You could fool the lasers with mirrors, but by then youd already be dead.

So the house is already in the family?

Yep I definately would, newport/laguna beach would be nice, I've seen it first hand and it's pretty amazing!

As per my pics from last year,

I wouldn't have seen it as anti social anyway as your still surrounded by neighbours, just with extra security I guess.

If you could afford to live in one, would you? A walled area of housing with controlled access and regular security patrols.

I think I would. I like the idea of not having people walking by who had no business there.

we should all live like this. so the fukcing chav scum can't rob our houses and smash our cars for the stereo they can't afford.

fooking chav scum die

A good mate of mine lived in the Wapping Dock flats near Albert docks in Liverpool.

Lovely flat, secure gate and patrolled parking. But when I went to stay with him I got the distinct impression that if you farted in the wrong place you'd be kicked out!

I'd be happier with more of a social community where you and a bunch of mates/family buy as much land as you can and become self sufficient.

Renewable energy resources, own gardens, composting area, large community garage with lifts etc. in it :D

Could even have your own pub - how cool would that be!? ...and hire a chef to cook for everyone in the pub...

I wonder if you could actually buy a village?

Hmm... Portmerion would be nice.

Have you thought about applying for the 2007 series of Castaway?

Nope, the people seem too weird. Saw some program on gated communitys a while ago, and they all seemed like inbred yokel weirdo's. Rich inbred yokel weirdo's though.

You ever meet Roy then? I bought his supe and he lived in a gated community. Bloody nice gaff it was too. In a heavily urbanised area where vandalism etc is rife I'd say for defo. But then I would as I've lived behind a wire for donkeys years :D
