c0c4in3
Hi, Never did that before. I would like to get some advice before messing my car. I have two sensors. One for oil temp and the other one for oil pressure. Where and how do I install it. Do I need to make a new hole somewhere in the oiltank or can I just use some other holes that are already there. Sorry if this sounds dumb, but I only installed boost gauges so far. Thanks!
Lebsteif
The way i did it was putting the sensors in a sandwich plate wich goes between the engine and your oil filter. very easy installation. http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/11.JPG

Gee
Can you have your gauges installed this way if you intend to run an oil cooler kit also?
D3xt3r
Yes but you will need a special takeoff plate then. Greddy, HKS and so on Oil Cooler Kits will come with everything needed.
bignum
The only problem with measuring oil pressure at the filter plate is it gives very high readings because the filter housing itself is a restricted area, i found the best place for your pressure sender is the lexus bolt mod, temperature is ok at the filter plate, imo.
