MR.B
It looks like quite a good game. Might get a bit repetative after a while though?
RedM
It has a definite time limit too. I can't stand games that end after a certain amount of time.
Marco
Any one played it yet, thinking of buying it, reminds me of resident evil Reminds me of Romero's Dawn of the dead.... it's almost exactly that movie (at least from the adverts I've seen - havent seen the game). MR.B
Was gonna get this but got Test Drive Unlimited instead, and I've only just switched it off Whats it like bud? Is it worth buying?
Muffleman
Well it's quite strange in that there is no real story and no particular progression except for getting loads of money and then cars. But, it is HUGE ! It's based on an island, and it is massive. You go round having races, doing little missions etc for cash, and then buy a bigger house and better cars. The graphics are just incredible, puts PGR3 in the shade. This is one of the first games properly developed for the 360, and it shows. As a petrolhead, it has me sucked in - I've been driving ALL evening I don't normally drive from inside the car on games like this, but this one I have and it is genuinely realistic. You have to watch other vehicles, see if they're indicating etc. And the selection of cars is massive too, you can take ANYTHING for a 2min test drive, just tip up at the showrooms I have recently found the garage where you can buy upgrade packages etc. Instead of choosing every single component ala Gran Turismo, you buy a package - that did annoy me about GT. I have spent most of the evening tearing round in a 350Z Nismo R, but also test driven F430, F575 Maranello, DB9 Vantage, Esprit V8, Caterham R500 etc etc. It's a blast
Muffleman
Oh, and Play.com want £39.99 - no point, it's at your local tescos for £39.
MR.B
Quality that does sound awesome and the screenshots look fantastic too. I think i'm going to have to trade my copy of Tomb Raider in for this one.
Muffleman
It has some cool touches, like the satnav in the cars works realtime, the map on it moves as you do etc Haven't got to the bikes yet either. http://i.i.com.com/cnet.g2/images/2006/242/928101_20060831_screen004.jpg
JamesArup
Dead Rising is very good. Looks very nice, and it's funny as hell But .. it has a definate 'shelf life'. Mowing down thousands of zombies (literally when you use the mower! ) in hundreds of amusing ways is one of the best things you've ever done when you first start playing. But the novelty wears off pretty fast to be honest. Still, if you are into non-stop carnage, then this is the game for you. Don't really have to think much .. just kill things. I really like Ninety Nine Nights too. Looks stunning in 1080 and you just wipe out crowds of thousands of enemies with lots of big swords and flashy special moves ... very nice J
