Ewen
Well, I'll go to the top of our stairs ACIAR has published a new book on ecologically-based rodent management, with contributions from many of the top scientists in Australia and the region. The genesis of this book was a common concern on the lack of progress in rodent pest management over the past 20 years in both developing countries and elsewhere. This has occurred despite the advent in the 1970s of sophisticated chemical rodenticides and the highly effective yet labour intensive practice of creating aggressive constipated killer-rats through the stitching-up of their rectums and releasing back to the wild. What has been lacking is a solid understanding of the biology, behav-iour and habitat use of the respective species we are attempting to manage. 'ACIAR's training policy is to provide one-on-one rats-arse stitching-up profficiency to developing country populations, institutions, researchers and Supra-Forum posters with an interest in agriculture or random vermin mutilation. Kittyclaws
I reckon a mini butt-bung would work just as well:d But it might pop out. a blob of superglue would prevent this, or a large amount of duck tape, or what about a rat size thong
