ivan
Bust tonight. The window started to go up, then something went twang! I took the door card off to find that the bowden cable has snapped. Lifted the window back up but it doesn't want to stay up at all. Ended up using "the Force" (duct tape - you know, it's dark on one side, light on the other and holds the universe together). Loaded up the EPC and I think that the cable comes as part of a whole sub-assembly. Part No 69801 14111. Can anyone confirm please? Gonna have to ring Mr T tomorrow and arrange for it to be fixed. Soonto_HAS_soop
Yep all part of the assembly, not available seperately. As I keep teeling everyone, I managed to fix mine with a bike brake cable and a bit of imagination. Cost me about £6 and 3 hours in all. The assembly from Mr T is close to £200 IIRC, although I could be wrong on that.

Thorin
Yep same thing happened to me a couple of years ago now. I would have tried getting some bike brake cable and fixing it but unfortunately when it had snapped it had got all wrapped round and knackered up some of the plastic fixings etc. and I decided it would be best to just buy the whole assembly as I didn't know if it had knackered the motor as well. As Ewen said, cost me about £60. Easy to fit.

ivan
Job done. And what a result. First I got trade discount because CCL have an account at Westover. So it only cost me £58. Then I managed to do the whole job including adjusting the glass fit in an hour and twenty. Cleaned the grotty bottom of the glass too. Lin was on standby to slide the glass in and hold it, but wasn't needed in the end. Thanks for the big heads-up Ewen. Now to go and clean all the fingerprints off everything.
