SUPRASUZUKI
Yes, but it's not as scary as when the bike does it......[sHOCK][/sHOCK]
supra650
Happened to me when i was in front of my son who was in his civic, thought id show him who was boss went down into third when doing 85 allready and booted it and had the rear end going everywhere, the road was nearly dry so thought it would be ok, it wasnt, i had to change when i got home. Now if its not completely dry i dont even bother taking on any really serious competition.

dangerous brain
On the exit of a roundabout in me N/A the second week I owned it the back just buggered off on me at about 25 mph, I was more stunned than anything as I couldn't beleive it did it at the slow speed. My TT decided it was going to go sideways once in the rain when I put my foot down in a straight line on the motorway at 90 ish leptons, the RLTC then caught it and I straightened it out quickly but again more confused and shocked than anything else. markssupra
Once to many, killed my last supe because of diesel on the wet road. Hit another car - done a 270 degree spin - hit a tree backwards and ended up on the grass verge. Only doing 40. Big brown stains! Drive like a 90 year old nun thats nearly blind in the wet now. stupra
Yes, but it's not as scary as when the bike does it......[sHOCK][/sHOCK] With you on that one, i've high sided twice (on track), an nearly done it a fair few other times, a couple being on the road. Its fun when you mean to do it on a bike, on in a car, but when its not done on purpose, pants get filled.
MarkTheBoy
Lost it once by mistake, crapped it, tried it again on purpose and held it ok. Havent had a problem since I decided to the tubbies. Can't wait for it to snow again, straight up freeport carpark, 3am and a lovely blank canvas! Superb!
Kip
Wet road, roundabout, diesel = spin. An interesting thought popped into my head as I bounced off the kerbs.. Hope no one on a bike comes round this roundabout..... Made a bit of a mess of my rims. And probably all because of some idiot over filling his extremely large tank!! Bobbeh
Are you actually asking if anyone physically shat their pants? Did you? I thought it would 'come with the territory' on a powerful RWD car to get the back end out on the odd occasion
Marco
I was fishtailing all over the place when I had crap tyres on. Kumho must be one of the worst makes ever, they were on the car when I bought it. Now with dunlops and RLTC everything is just fine
chilli
has anyone not done this at some stage?
Mike M
Lost the TT big style for a moment in the dry, sideways towards an oncoming car just before the rear decided it had seen enough of the other lane and came back again. All my own doing, took the corner about 30mph faster than normal and it just let go. Scared the crap out me, not the fact of the car going sideways but just how close it was to the other car. But on the good side i think it's very controllable depending on how quick the rear does step out and how quick you are at catching it. Everytime mine has done it whether rain or light snow it has always given plenty of warning.

Suprasteve
makes me laugh when people say its fun to drive in the snow - how, i can't do it ? i find it almost impossible to drive in the snow. Last time i did i remember driving diagonally down the road no more than 5 mph cos my back end wanted to slide into the curb due to the camber of the road. I had to abandon it when i got the a slight incline ! a couple of weeks back i had serious trouble getting out a car park cos i parked on a steep hill and the grass was sopping wet !!! I'm the first to admit my car is absolutely shite unless the roads are bone dry. am i alone on this? please tell me its normal.
chilli
It's normal. I used to enjoy the Integrale when the snow came out, that is one of the few things I miss about that car Unlikely I'd be taking the Supra out in the snow! lucky if it ever goes out in the rain even
dangerous brain
I won't do snow in a supe or similar wide wheeled car ever again. I've said it a few times before but its a new thread so I might get away with REPOSTing I parked my car in the work car park after the most difficult drive along an ungritted road I have ever experienced. I got out and closed the door of my car. The small thud the door makes on closing broke the cars hold on the surface (very slight incline) and off it slid sideways towards the car it was parked next to. I had to run round the car and get between it and the one it was destined to hit. So you don't even have to be driving the damn thing in the snow for it to cause you bother. GLENN STONEHAM
I was thinking about posting a similar thread a couple of days ago. Even as a mature non boy racer Ive found the supe to be almost dangerous to drive in the wet and lethal on snow/ice. Just pulling away onto a roundabout often results in wheelspin & several times the back end has gone on a roundabout at speeds that can easily be exceeded by more modest cars.I"m surprised more drivers, especially those new to the supe, don"t come a croper. Maybe Ive always had the wrong tyres?
Daston
Happend to me the other weekend pulled onto a dual carrage way with a very wet road didnt boot it but the back end twitched a bit so I let off and changed to 2nd it twitched some more put it into 3rd and still had no traction. Must have looked real good but I did have a second of ooooh crap until I realised it was so calm almost gentile
Mike M
I find it's a good way to get tail gaters off your A$$, just light up the rear in the wet when pulling away or at low speeds, even better if it goes slightly sideways and watch them crap themselves.
