chilli Posted September 24, 2006 Share Posted September 24, 2006 well I kinda see both sides of the argument here, after all lets face it second hand (if you can find exactly what you want) is nearly always better value for money than new - but only if what you want is available when you need it, rare for good secondhand SMICs for example you get what you pay for. i.e. £300 for a decent new SMIC is not really fairly comparible to a new £1000 SMIC. After all, if you're paying 1k for a new SMIC you start to have other options like FMICs anyway! it seems like if you are lucky enough to find a new like OEM SMIC for a good price when you need it, this is probably about as good as it gets in terms of value for money. At least with products like this there are now viable alternatives, it's good to have options EDIT: Oh, just seen Nics scorching price on the OEM SMIC, that is cheap.
