Grazer
I have just taken an inurance policy with bell direct. They had given me a quote for £1300 and when I phoned to accept they ran throught the mods that I had told them (all of them!). Instead of RLTC, they had: suspension other (not lowered) and brakes - uprated. I told them that wasn't what I had told them and they said they would have to refer it back to the underwriters, and they don't normally insure RLTC but would honour it as they had already quoted me. Several days later they got back to me saying it was fine and the quote hadn't changed so I accepted the policy. They have now sent out the documentation, and under mods it has suspension and brakes instead of RLTC. What should I do? Ignore it as I have told them the correct mods twice, or risk more fannying around by trying to explain it to them again??
DaveRex
personally I would ring up and get the paper work correct, at the end of the day its a bit of hassle for you but worth it to have all the documents correct ! get the persons name and make sure they realise you will be chasing them for the amended docs last thing you want is a problem in the future Dave
toyotasuprauk
As far as I was aware insures list RLTC as a breaking modification so I would think your fine, especially as they got back to you and told you its fine.
Paul -C-
For RLTC I told my insurance that I had upgraded the traction control, which was fine and didn't cost any extra. Still don't have it fitted though :-/
paulfurn
If you dont mind me asking, who are you with Paul? I need to get insured with 0 NCB and asking them to add mods is killing the quote!
Grazer
Just called - RLTC goes down as brakes uprated, and I got £60 back for taking off "suspension other". Bonus BTW Bell Direct have been a total nightmare to deal with, but they were £600 cheaper than the second nearest quote
