Guest lfelton
As I've only done around 300 miles in her in the last year the wife has started dropping hints that I should consider selling (I think she wants the garage space)! I don't know what it's worth. They don't seem to fetch tuppence hap'ny on eBay; none seem to meet their reserves. If I DO decide to sell, what should I be looking for? '95 UK auto in black, no modifications. I've owned it since it was a year and a bit old, used as my 2nd car since then. FTSH, 61K miles, all the bits replaced at the right time (timing belt, plugs). Interior is cream leather & pretty much unmarked (v. slight scuffing on drivers seat). Exterior is pretty good. The wheels are currently at Superlite being refurbished as the paint was starting to blister. The bodywork is pretty near perfect, no stone chips as I had the bonnet & front wings resprayed last year. Small parking dent in one of the rear panels & I guess I'd get one of the "paintless dent removal" bods to remove that before sale. Has anyone sold one similar recently, what did you get? Thanks! Paul_SWZ
I thought so too but the prices of cars has really dropped out of bed at the moment. I agree my price was low but tbh he would have to wait a long time to get 8K for it!

Pig
Sorry guys. Mate, are you aware of the differences between uk and import cars. there were only 600 uk's made and they are cheaper to insure. They demand a higher price, always have done and always will do. IMO if you hold out you could get 9.5k for it. Would have to hold for someone that knew what they were talking about though!

Not really mate TBH i am just sitting back and trying to learn for a while. The problem is i spose is being a trader i value cars at trade value. I was told the other day j-spec were better by a forum member. I listened against better judgment and took his views on board. I believe the Uk cars have bigger brakes and turbo's. but apparently cant handle as much power due to being ceramic ? TBH i would rather have a Uk car due to cheaper insurance and knowing more about the cars history.
Pig
Nope, the UK turbos can take more. They do have a little more lag than a J-Spec though. The Uk's also come with bigger injectors. there are a few other differences but i cant be arsed to write them down!

Dragon
Its still a bargain with that mileage IMO that is what i meant, the reason why it is at that price is because of the mileage.
