Or does it even matter?? You are supposed to use new ones, the old ones can get corroded and gunged up and if they are you will get spongy brakes. Bob Posted September 3, 2006 Share Posted September 3, 2006 The groove on the discs doesn't matter which way it goes, you need to look at the venting inside the disc to check rotation - should be angled pointing clockwise, so the heat is expelled as it turns.
