Lebsteif
STRI Gauges I bought my STRI gauges from Boostshop ( http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=75458 ) the reason why i boughts these is because they do look like defi's and got a really nice titanium case finish. I couldn;t find any information on the internet about these gauges, but i had some old gauges from the same brand in my previous car. After deciding wich gauges i wanted i placed my order, from the moment of transfering the money and recieving the package took only 7 days! (inc the weekend) My orderlist: 1x Oiltemp 1x oil pressure 1x EGT 1x Sandwich plate http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/1.JPG http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/2.JPG http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/3.JPG Content of the oiltemp gauge box: http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/4.JPG Content of the oil pressure gauge box: http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/5.JPG Content of the EGT gauge box: http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/6.JPG In all the boxes is an extra long wire with a button on the end, you can connect this with the gauge if you put the gauges in a pod and want to adjust the warning signal. A mounting ring with adhesive stickers and manuals are included in every box as well. The back of the gauge: The black round button is for adjusting the warning signal, press it once and it shows the peak value. press it for more than 3 seconds and you can adjust the warning point. Below the button are 2 ports, the one on the right is to connect the wire with the button as descriped above. on the left is a connector where the signal wires go into. http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/7.JPG The front of the gauges: http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/22.JPG http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/8.JPG http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/33.JPG
Lebsteif
http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/9.JPG Installing the sensors on the sandwichplate: http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/11.JPG And the final result: http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/12.JPG http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/44.JPG In the dark: http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/55.JPG http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/56.JPG http://www.archanox.demon.nl/stri/66.JPG I will make some better pictures tomorrow, these pictures doesn;t do the gauges any justice, they look really stunning. pros: -Price -Quality of everything is top notch -clear manual -everything you need is in the package Cons: -needed to extend the wires, wires are long enough for RHD cars but not for LHD I'm really happy with these gauges! D3xt3r
They come with little stands you can mount anywhere with the supplied double sided tape. Or you can use an a pillar pod or any other mounting.
Class One
Do they illuminate during daytime running?
Marco
Can you adjust the brightness?
D3xt3r
Depends on how you hook them up. The smoked ones will illuminate because if not you wont see anything The others you can hook up that the light comes on when you put on your lights. D3xt3r
Can you adjust the brightness? The Smoked ones dim automaticly when you turn on the lights. The others you could theoreticly put an poti to the light cable but they arent so bright they they hurt your eyes at night.
