michael
Just a quick one - I have a HKS Hardpipe kit (4 piece) that I'm having installed with my ARC SMIC this week but I really want to get the two pipes that are visible in the engine bay chromed. Unfortunately I can't get this done in time so at some point I'll have to remove them again and send them off - my question is if the standard pipework is identical to the hardpipes - ie will I be able to take off 2 pipes and replace them with the old rubber ones or are they different lengths? I'm guessing the one that disapears into the wing won't be a problem but what about the one that goes into the intake manifold?
Sharpie
There are 5 bit's for the HKS kit. 3 down from the IM to the SMIC and then 2 up to the Turbos. Why only 4 ? When do you plan to get the HKS pipe from the IM polished ? I might be able to loan you a HKS pipe ??

I *think* that they offered a 4 piece kit that doesn't have the one from the inner wing in it but most people got the 5 piece, I bought used so had less choice in the matter, I'll try and source the missing one as some point. Well the car goes in to the garage tomorrow night and I'm sending the pipes with it so I have no timescale involved at present - the chroming place are giving a 7 day turnaround on the parts so I was planning to get it done some time in the future or if the standard pipes fit OK I was thinking of just fitting those on the engine bay side for now and sending the others off this week. michael
Bugger, I've just been looking at the pipes again and don't seem to have the bigger silicone hose to fit onto the the intake manifold - it looks like I'll just have to get the bottom pipes on and keep gathering bits, not quite a complete kit it seems! I'm just hoping I can fit these bottom ones while the bumper is off for the SMIC and still use the top rubber ones...
