KaoriFan
since i had the Supra, at various times (not each time i drive), i get this kind of 'clunking' sound coming from the passenger door area. best description i can say is it sounds like something plastic moving around . only seems to happen when i brake or accelerate. they have had the door apart, but can't find anything. does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this. soon as you hit the brake you get this 'click' and when you hit the gas pedal same 'click'. its a plasticky sounding thing, doesn't sound metallic. any help greatly appreciated, thanks in advance, Ian
markymark
annoying sounds coming from the passenger side/door I get that noise but mine is my girlfriend:D
Snooze
I get a rattle from my driver's side occasionally - finally tracked it down to the handle for tilting the seat forward - the screws sometimes work themselves slightly loose and the handle rattles during acceleration and braking - you could check that...... charlton
if it does it when you brake/accelerate it could be something to do with the seat belt system, mine makes clunking noises all the time when it locks the belts. Failing that its your passengers - kick em out
Homer
I had a similar issue, it turned out to be a poorly fitted side skirt and screw that was rubbing the underside of the door. Obviously if you have OEM or no skirts then it rules that out!
KaoriFan
annoying sounds coming from the passenger side/door I get that noise but mine is my girlfriend:D lol, makes the drive just that bit more interesting. can't attack her with a screwdriver either I get a rattle from my driver's side occasionally - finally tracked it down to the handle for tilting the seat forward - the screws sometimes work themselves slightly loose and the handle rattles during acceleration and braking - you could check that...... thanks, will have a look at that, maybe the cure if it does it when you brake/accelerate it could be something to do with the seat belt system, mine makes clunking noises all the time when it locks the belts. Failing that its your passengers - kick em out yep, could blame the passengers. also try to drive on my own, go faster with less weight I had a similar issue, it turned out to be a poorly fitted side skirt and screw that was rubbing the underside of the door. Obviously if you have OEM or no skirts then it rules that out! cheers, if only i had some bodykit, but alas none atm. would love some OEM skirts. but that does give me some thought on maybe something else rubbing inside. looks like i have an amp under passengers seat. and lots of wires. could be something trapped and then releasing. thanks everyone, appreciate the suggestions Ian
