tucky40
Hi all, Just in the process of getting new alloys and tyres all round. Kind of decided on the alloys but any advice on tyres?? Is seems so far that two of the best are the goodyear eagle F1s and the Toyo T1r. Thanks guys, Ben.
JustGav
I'm a fan of michelen pilot sports, I've used the F1 GS03's and they were excellent as well.

Wez
As a trackday tire the R888 are supposed to be good but not so good in the wet.
Bobbeh
Thats because they are a sports tyre with a soft grippy compound, like the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups and P-Zero Corsas.
monkey3
I used to be a Toyo boy-o (see what I did there? boy...o... - oh, forget it) But I now have Eagle F1s and they are the doggies dangly bits. I think for the price difference I would defo go for the Eagles.

BASHTHEBISHOP
I have Firestone SZ80's and they are superb. 265/35/18 on the rear and 235/40/18 on the front. They were Just over £400 fitted and balanced and so far i am well impressed in the dry or wet. They are made by bridgestone. They are supposed to be quite hard wearing but i have only had them on for the last 2000 miles so will let you know how they last. I am sure you wont go wrong with any of the top brands but with the weather closing in i would probably stay away from the softer compounds of the toyos or the pirelli Pzeros. Mike M
I've always swore by Toyo proxies and I've been looking at getting those R888's next. I'll never be on a track tho but they look great.

Rob Davey
My Eagle F1's ran out really quickly - 6000 miles and they were heavy load ones. now got continentals, much better!
imi
Ive used Toyo T1-Rs and they lasted 22K miles on the rear and 26K on the front....getting the front changed tomorrow to...yup, you guessed it Eagle F1s. I would recommend either, the Toyo T1-R are longer lasting.
tucky40
Well looks like Eagle F1s are most highly recommended but sounds like the T1-Rs are a close second but with better durability..........hmmm i dont think i can go wrong with either by the sounds of it..........Thanks for the advice. Thorin
Falken F451's are good if anyone wants to save a bit of money. I believe they've just introduced F452's now. But Eagle F1's all round currently here.

Guest dee_rz
I use goodyear eagle f1 and love them after having many different tyres for all my cars and deem them the best all round in terms of quality and price, if money is no object then pirrelli p zero rosso* (has to be the rosso* awesome tyre but too pricey for me to deem them better than eagles in my opinion) also the toyo t1r is a great tyre.
