I would love to see a Vulcan flying in formation with a English Electric Lightning. Unfortunately it wouldn't happen over UK skys due to flying regulations. More likely happen in South Africa where they still have Lightnings flying. Think its called thunder valley.

Like the idea of a aircraft event

ah, yes, i have read about the jet's they can fly in SA. if only we could do that here. if i ever find the magazine (it's in a back issue of FlyPast) will scan you a copy, if you want,. has a few photos as well as a whole write up. i seem to remember it was all about the Lightnings they fly there.

wish we could get a few Phantoms flying again.

yeah, aircraft events sounds great, probably most next popular after car's.

if it's popular, may need it's own section in events, as so many of the Aircraft opendays, airshows draw people nationally, as well as locally.

I'd be up for meeting with you Supra peeps at an air show. I haven't been for absolutely ages. Went to the Finningly air show a few times and was lucky enough to see the Vulcan and the Lightening.

One year the SR-71 was supposed to show up but didn't due to bad weather, I was so disappointed :(

Doesn't Jeremy Clarkson have a Lightening in his garden?
