stupra
Awesome planes, awesome noise. Hope they get it into the skies again soon. Good on the guy with the cash.
KaoriFan
i' m sure they will get it flying, but it depends on their time left on the airframe in a lot of cases. many Vulcan's were near the expiry of their airframe hours. used to love seeing them at West Malling airshows, they used to fly along, then climb away and set all the car alarms off with the vibration

KaoriFan
LOL I remember that too shame they had to develop West Malling, that airshow was brilliant, used to go every year. just Biggin Hill left in this part of the world. interesting reading this list of what happened to some of them: http://www.ukserials.com/results.php?serial=XH
stupra
just Biggin Hill left in this part of the world. The Duckford airshow is on this weekend, its not to far, an is usually good. I think they've got alot of WWII fighters there this year.

garethr
Responsible for f******g both Port Stanley Airfield and Mrs. Spock. Bizarre but true.See if you can find a book called "Sea Harrier over the Falklands" by Commander "Sharkey" Ward. It gives a different view of the effectiveness of the Vulcan raid on Port Stanley airfield. P.S, Here's an excerpt http://www.combatsim.com/archive/htm/htm_arc2/f15_shar.htm Nohing to do with the Falklands, but interesting.

Those Warbirds are so graceful and iconic Haven't been to the air show but visited the museum a couple of weeks ago, fantastic day out Jo didn't seem to understand why I was so excited about touching a 'Blackbird' and standing in a B52 wheel bay Planning to go back when they finally open the new Air Space hangar.
